The same train departs at 2040hrs from Kathgodam and reaches Delhi at 5015hrs the next day. Overall, it takes about 10hours to travel by train. At the Kathgodam railway station, there are many taxis and buses to drop you to Nainital. You can hire a private cab or take a one on sharing basis. There are tempo travelers that can be hired by a large group.
Alternatively, you can board the flight from the Indira Gandhi International Airport to the Pantnagar airport that is the nearest airport to Nainital situated at a distance of approximately 71kms. From here, taxis ply round the clock to ferry the passengers to the hill station.
